Actress Georgina Castle and her husband, West End actor Simon Lipkin, have welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Birdie Wilde Lipkin. The announcement was made over the weekend by Castle, daughter of former tennis ace and BBC Wimbledon pundit Andrew Castle.
Georgina, 33, shared the news on Instagram with a post stating, "Never known love like it." She and Lipkin met in 2022 while performing together in the West End production of Elf The Musical. The couple announced in April that they were expecting.
To discover the baby's sex, the couple engaged in a reveal where Georgina's mother, Sophia, was the first to be informed. Sophia applied pink paint to their hands, which they used to create handprints, signaling they were expecting a daughter. Georgina had previously shared, "See you in September baby girl."
Friends and fellow performers, including West End actress and Love Island winner Amber Davies, offered congratulations. Davies shared, "THE NEWS IS FINALLY OUT! See you soon baby girl; What incredible parents you guys will be! So happy for you; Amazing news."
Georgina and Simon married in a London ceremony approximately one year ago, with her father, Andrew Castle, walking her down the aisle. Georgina, who has starred in West End productions such as Mamma Mia!, 9 to 5, and Mean Girls, shared wedding photos online with the caption "MR & MRS ♡ 07.09.25."
Andrew Castle, a former British No.1 tennis player, has previously spoken of his pride in his daughter's acting career, noting in 2022 that while her career path was a surprise, he supported her endeavors, stating, "I would never try to force my ambitions on her."
