A cargo plane operated by 21 Air on behalf of Amazon crashed near Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport on Sunday, resulting in five fatalities and multiple injuries. The Boeing 767-300 freighter overshot the runway during a landing attempt, striking several vehicles.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue reported that responders encountered a complex situation upon arrival. Chief Raied Jadallah stated that individuals were trapped in their vehicles. Search and rescue efforts were also conducted for the pilot and co-pilot, who were found to be trapped within the aircraft.

Of the 10 people involved in the incident, five died, three sustained critical injuries and were transported to a trauma center, and two others were taken to a local hospital. It was not immediately clear if the fatalities and injuries included those on the ground or only those aboard the plane and its crew.
