Amanda Kloots, 44, has confirmed her split from former professional tennis player Justin Gimelstob, 49, after one year of dating. Kloots exclusively shared the news with Page Six on Wednesday at the 8th Annual Daytime Beauty Awards.
"No, not currently, but we’re still very good friends," Kloots stated when asked about their relationship status. The couple made their red carpet debut in April of last year and had previously described their relationship as being in the "courting phase."
Despite the breakup, Kloots expressed her continued belief in romance. "I believe in love. I definitely want that in my life," she told Page Six. However, her immediate focus is on raising her 7-year-old son, Elvis, and balancing motherhood with her career.
"Right now I’ve really just been focused on work and Elvis and myself and just making sure I’m the best version of me," Kloots said. She shared that this period has been "very good and healing and rewarding."
Kloots, who shares Elvis with her late husband, Broadway actor Nick Cordero, lost him in 2020 after a battle with COVID-19. He was 41 years old. The couple married in 2017 after meeting while performing in "Bullets Over Broadway."
Kloots was previously married to actor David Larsen from 2007 until their divorce in 2015.
Professionally, Kloots has been active as a confidante on Netflix's "Let's Marry Harry" and recently launched her podcast, "Good Grief with Amanda Kloots." The podcast explores themes of grief, loss, and moving forward after significant life events, with new episodes released on Wednesdays.
