Allen's has announced the return of five discontinued lolly varieties, a move that has generated significant excitement among shoppers nostalgic for the classic treats. The confectionery brand has brought back fan favorites including Black Cats, Mad About Teeth, Spearmint Leaves, Bananas, and Green Frogs after years of public demand.
These revived lollies are available for a limited period. Green Frogs, Black Cats, Mad About Teeth, and Spearmint Leaves can be found at Woolworths until September 1. Bananas have exclusively returned to Coles in a 300g value pack, having quietly reappeared on shelves earlier this month.
Nestlé Head of Marketing Confectionery, Shannon Wright, acknowledged the passion of Allen's fans for the return of nostalgic products. "At Allen's, we love creating new treats but occasionally it's fun to dip back into the lolly archives to bring back some fan favourites," Wright stated. "These comeback lollies are all about giving fans a chance to reconnect with nostalgic treats and sweet memories. Some lollies are simply too iconic to stay in retirement."
The announcement has prompted enthusiastic responses on social media, with many shoppers expressing their joy and calling for the permanent return of these candies. "Best news ever," and "I've never been happier," were among the sentiments shared. Some fans urged Allen's to keep the lollies available year-round, while others suggested additional discontinued favorites, such as Fantales, milk bottles, and racing cars, should also be revived.
