Alexis Bellino, 49, a star of 'The Real Housewives of Orange County,' has shared the results of her recent facelift, addressing potential judgment regarding her decision to undergo plastic surgery. Bellino posted on Instagram, detailing her experience and sharing before-and-after photos of her transformation.
She explained that the decision to have the facelift was a personal gift to herself in anticipation of her 50th birthday in January. Bellino stated that her late mother had considered her 50s her favorite decade, a sentiment she now shares. She described the results as "subtle but amazing."
Bellino's husband, John Janssen, and her children, James, Miles, and Mackenna, had initially advised against the procedure. However, Bellino noted that they are now pleased with the outcome, emphasizing that the decision was ultimately hers.
Surgical Details and Recovery
The reality television personality underwent a mid-facelift, neck lift, upper blepharoplasty, and CO2 laser treatment. She shared images of her healing process, including a photo taken one day after surgery showing bandages around her head, and a photo from day four illustrating slight bruising. Thirteen weeks post-operation, Bellino expressed her satisfaction with the results, noting that the enhancements are subtle enough that others perceive them as the result of good sleep or a new hairstyle.
History with Cosmetic Procedures
Bellino has a long history with cosmetic surgery, having first undergone a breast augmentation at age 19. She has had three additional breast surgeries over the years. In 2022, she experienced complications from an implant, leading to capsular contracture, a condition where scar tissue tightens around an implant. This issue recurred approximately six months later, causing discomfort and swelling that became noticeable.
During a corrective surgery in 2025, it was discovered that her implant had ruptured, with silicone leaking into her left breast. The implants were removed and replaced with smaller ones. Bellino discussed the option of removing them entirely but was advised by her doctor that this would leave her with a "completely flat" appearance due to a lack of natural breast tissue.
In 2011, Bellino also had a nose job, which was documented on 'The Real Housewives of Orange County.' At the time, she sought surgery to remove impacted tissue and chose to address a bump on her nose simultaneously. She indicated that she is content with her current procedures and does not anticipate further surgeries for at least another decade.
