The Alexander brothers, recently sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for sex trafficking, have reportedly sought refuge among a group of Jewish inmates following a pepper-spray incident and subsequent threats from fellow prisoners. Oren, Alon, and Tal Alexander were found guilty in March of operating a decade-long scheme involving drugging and raping women.
According to reports, after a pepper-spray incident, the brothers became targets for other inmates. They have since aligned themselves with a gang of Jewish cellmates for protection. The brothers are leaning on their faith while incarcerated, with images showing them wearing tefillin, typically worn during prayer by more conservative and orthodox Jews.
The three brothers, Oren (37), Alon (twin), and Tal, were sentenced to 30 years each in prison. The conviction followed a jury trial that found them guilty of sex trafficking offenses. Evidence presented during the trial included photos of the brothers partying with alleged victims, some of whom were reportedly drugged and raped over more than a decade.
Family members, including their parents and wives, were instructed to stay away from the sentencing to spare them further heartache. Some of the brothers' spouses are in the process of divorcing them.
