Hyrum Cook, the 33-year-old founder of the activewear brand Adanola, has submitted plans for a substantial extension to his Cheshire mansion. Cook, who is reportedly worth £200 million, purchased the property in an exclusive village for £3 million with his partner, Jordana Lawton.
Adanola has gained significant traction, with celebrities such as Kendall Jenner, Molly-Mae Hague, Nicole Kidman, and Maya Jama having appeared on the brand's billboards in major cities. Hague also resides in the same Cheshire village.
The proposed renovation includes a ground-floor extension designed to support a new terrace connecting to the kitchen. Planning documents describe the addition as a "modest and carefully considered" enhancement that will enlarge the existing gym and improve the connection between the house and garden. The design aims to be sympathetic to the existing architecture, incorporating arched openings and masonry detailing.
Property and Brand Growth
The village where Cook and Lawton purchased their home is described by property experts as a desirable postcode for high-net-worth individuals from the sports and business worlds, offering privacy and convenient access to motorways and Manchester Airport.
Cook, along with his brother Josh, previously appeared on the television show "Dragons' Den" in 2015 to seek investment for their social media photo booth company, Zeven Media. Although Zeven Media was later liquidated, Adanola has experienced considerable success. The company's assets reportedly surged between 2021 and 2023. Following the recruitment of Niran Chana from Gymshark, Adanola's sales have increased, leading to an investment from LA-based Story3 Capital Partners. The company is now valued at approximately £400 million.
In addition to his residential property, Cook has also been expanding his commercial real estate portfolio, acquiring properties such as Marlsbro House and Peter House in Manchester.
