Model Abbey Clancy has shared an experience where she felt "physically ill and so upset" after finding out about her husband Peter Crouch's secret celebrity crush by looking through his phone. Clancy revealed on their podcast, The Therapy Crouch, that she went through the former footballer's messages, which led to her giving him the silent treatment for two days.
Clancy admitted her actions by saying, "I went through your phone," to which Crouch responded, "Which you shouldn't do." She attempted to justify her behavior, stating, "Everyone does that, every girl does that." She continued, "But I find out things from you by doing that."
Discovery of Crush
Clancy disclosed that she discovered Crouch had a crush on Diane Youdale, known as Jet from the original UK television series Gladiators. "I found out you had this crush on Jet from the Gladiators, which I didn't speak to him for two days after and he was like 'Abbey, she's like 60' and I was like 'I don't care, it made me physically ill,' I was so upset," she recounted.
Crouch defended himself, suggesting he is "allowed to fancy someone from 25 years ago." He clarified that his admiration for Jet predated his relationship with Clancy, stating, "That was well before you as well, I was around 14 when I was watching Jet." Jet was a main cast member on the original Gladiators series from 1992 to 1996.
Amidst this discovery, Clancy also learned about a planned golf trip. "So! And at the same time I find out you're planning this golf trip," she said. Crouch explained his preference for having plans finalized before discussing them with his wife, to which Clancy responded by noting he often informs her only a day in advance. Crouch humorously asked if she would prefer "a month of hell or a day of hell."
Recent Family Outing
This revelation follows the couple's recent family getaway to New York. They shared moments from a fishing trip with their four children: daughters Sophia, 15, and Liberty, 11, and sons Johnny, eight, and Jack, seven. Photos from the trip showed the family on a boat in Montauk, Long Island.
Clancy also recounted an incident at the airport where her daughter Sophia, 15, nearly had a misunderstanding with immigration officials. Sophia questioned why she had to have her fingerprints taken, asking if it was "in case there are fingerprints on the gun?" Clancy intervened to clarify her daughter's statement, explaining to the officials that Sophia was inquiring about their methods for catching criminals. The situation was further complicated when a woman left her bag unattended, leading to accusations and causing Clancy to become distressed and eventually bring her to tears.
