Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers revealed his biggest regret regarding his marriage to Brittani, stating he wishes he had proposed sooner after meeting her in 2017. Rodgers shared this detail during an episode of "Not Just Football with Cam Heyward," detailing how he met his wife while she was living in Austin, Texas, and preparing to move back to Europe.

"My biggest regret is not begging her to stay or proposing right there," Rodgers said, explaining that this moment led him to question his role in a relationship. He met Brittani in 2017, the same year his relationship with actress Olivia Munn ended. Rodgers said that after Brittani moved back to Europe, they maintained contact, but their relationship faced hurdles, including her engagement to someone else.

Rodgers described himself as becoming "emotionally unavailable" after learning of her engagement, despite feeling she was the person who had changed his life. He then focused heavily on football, acknowledging he gained much from it but knew he was meant to be with Brittani. They were separated by an ocean for a significant period.

Prior to his marriage to Brittani, Rodgers dated television personality Danica Patrick from 2018 to 2020. He claimed there was "zero intimacy" in that relationship and that it ended when he declined to purchase another home with her in 2020. He also was briefly engaged to actress Shailene Woodley from 2021 to 2022, stating their relationship deteriorated after he proposed, citing her alleged interest in another man.

Neither Patrick nor Woodley have publicly commented on Rodgers' recent statements. Rodgers recounted that circumstances eventually aligned for him and Brittani. "She was engaged, then I got engaged, and luckily, for me, we came back together," he said. He eloped with Brittani, describing the marriage as quick but including a surprise he had planned for her. The identity of Brittani and public images of her have not been widely confirmed.

Rodgers also credited Brittani with helping him reconnect with some estranged family members. He stated that her unconditional love changed his perspective on relationships, acting as an "anchor point" that opened his heart in new ways.
