San Francisco 49ers owner Jed York pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct and possessing criminal tools on Monday, resolving charges stemming from his arrest in a prostitution sting operation in East Palestine, Ohio. He was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served and ordered to pay $1,150 in fines.

The arrest occurred on August 23, when police stopped York's vehicle in a trailer park. Bodycam footage released by the East Palestine Police Department shows officers approaching York, who was reportedly attempting to meet a woman for sex after responding to an advertisement online. During the stop, York, who identified himself using the alias "Joe" in communications, asked officers repeatedly, "Can I ask what you're doing?" He initially told officers he was "just driving."

Officers searched York's vehicle and found several hundred dollars in cash, primarily in $20 bills. According to an incident report from the Mahoning Valley Law Enforcement Task Force, York had agreed to pay $160 for sexual services. He was initially charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools.

York, 45, recently relocated to his parents' home in Youngstown, Ohio, shortly before filing for divorce from his wife, Danielle Belluomini, on May 11, citing irreconcilable differences. He and Belluomini share two sons.

The 49ers organization issued a statement indicating they would not comment on the matter, as it is a legal issue that has been resolved. The NFL stated it is reviewing the incident in accordance with its personal conduct policy.

York became the CEO of the 49ers in 2008 and assumed the role of principal owner in 2024. He was wearing his wedding ring at the time of his arrest.
