An 18-year-old woman found fatally shot in a Boston home owned by the husband of Rep. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass., has been identified by her family as Yoseliani Marte. Police responded to the residence in the Mattapan neighborhood around 1:52 p.m. Saturday and discovered Marte suffering from a single gunshot wound.

Marte's mother stated in a GoFundMe campaign that her daughter was killed as a result of domestic violence. Public records indicate the home where the shooting occurred is owned by Conan Harris, who has been married to Rep. Pressley since 2014. Pressley's office has confirmed that neither the congresswoman nor her family were involved in the incident and extended condolences to Marte's family and loved ones.

According to reports, Pressley and Harris do not reside in the two-family home, which is listed for sale and has been described as a rental property. A neighbor recounted a significant police presence in the normally quiet area on Saturday.

Boston police are continuing their investigation into the manner of death. Family and friends reportedly held a vigil for Marte on Sunday evening.
