The New York Yankees' scheduled game against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday has been postponed due to sustained inclement weather and rescheduled as a split-admission doubleheader for Sunday. The decision was made as the city experienced heavy rain and thunderstorms, with flash flood warnings issued across all five boroughs.

The first game of the doubleheader is set to begin at 12:35 p.m. ET, approximately two and a half hours before the World Cup final at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. This game will be broadcast on the YES Network.

The second game is scheduled for 7:20 p.m. ET and will be televised on NBC and Peacock.

Original pitching matchups for Saturday included Ryan Weathers against Emmett Sheehan, and Cam Schlittler expected to close the series against Yoshinobu Yamamoto. It remains unclear if these pitching assignments will carry over to the doubleheader.

Fans who held tickets for the postponed Saturday game can use them for Sunday's day game or exchange them for a future regular-season game at Yankee Stadium.
