WWE performer Chelsea Green announced Friday that she sustained a broken orbital bone during a tag team match, less than a week after capturing the Interim WWE Women's Championship at SummerSlam.

Green shared the news in a video posted to her Instagram account, stating that she was in the emergency room following the incident. "Stuff happens. It’s live television. It’s wrestling. It’s an occupational hazard," Green said, according to Fox News. "I ended up in the emergency room and I have a broken orbital bone. It looks amazing all things considered. It feels awful but looks pretty amazing."

The injury marks the latest in a series of health issues for Green over the past year, which have included a heart condition requiring a medical procedure. Despite these challenges, she was able to win the interim title at SummerSlam by outlasting four other competitors in a ladder match.

Green expressed frustration over the recurring bad luck, saying, "I feel like if I didn’t have bad luck, I’d have no luck at all." She indicated a need to take time to process and heal from the head trauma, adding, "We’re just gonna take it day by day. So, world domination continues. We’ve just had a minor blip."

It remains unclear if Green will have to relinquish the interim championship due to the injury. The interim belt was introduced because WWE Women's Champion Rhea Ripley is sidelined following knee surgery, with Ripley also expected to be out for several months.
