WWE NXT's The Great American Bash is set to take place at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, featuring a stacked card with five championship matches. This event marks a significant milestone as the first NXT premium live event to be broadcast on The CW Network. The show is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. ET.
Championship Showdowns
The NXT Championship will be on the line when Tony D'Angelo defends his title against Naraku. D'Angelo has expressed caution regarding Naraku's tactics, especially after an incident involving a fireball during the contract signing. Naraku aims to make a strong statement with a victory.
Myles Borne will defend his NXT North American Championship against Tavion Heights. Borne, who has held the title since February, has successfully defended against various opponents. Heights, described as a formidable competitor, earned his title shot after defeating Jackson Drake. Heights previously challenged for the title at No Mercy last year but was unsuccessful.
Women's Division Features
In the women's division, Wren Sinclair puts her WWE Women's Speed Championship on the line against Arianna Grace. Sinclair has held the championship since March, and Grace is looking to reclaim a championship after a recent loss of the TNA Knockouts World Championship.
The NXT Women’s North American Championship will also be contested in a rematch, with Zaria defending against Tatum Paxley. Zaria defeated Paxley for the title a few weeks prior, and Paxley is now seeking to regain the championship.
Lola Vice, the reigning NXT Women's Champion, will face Kendal Grey. Vice won the title at Stand & Deliver, and Grey has since re-established herself as the No. 1 contender. Grey is widely regarded as a significant talent in the future of women's wrestling.
Other Notable Matches
Beyond the championship contests, the event includes a bout between Shiloh Hill and Tristan Angels. Their rivalry escalated after Angels blindsided Hill, who was named Mr. NXT.
Saquon Shugars will face Dion Lennox. This feud stems from Shugars being ousted from the group DarkState by Lennox earlier this month.
Predictions for the matches include Tristan Angels defeating Shiloh Hill, Saquon Shugars defeating Dion Lennox, Myles Borne retaining the NXT North American Championship, Wren Sinclair retaining the WWE Women’s Speed Championship, Zaria defeating Tatum Paxley, Tony D’Angelo retaining the NXT Championship, and Kendal Grey winning the NXT Women’s Championship.
