Chicago Sky player DiJonai Carrington is facing scrutiny following an incident where a fan was removed from a game against the Golden State Valkyries, only for the complaint to be deemed "unfounded." The event occurred in the fourth quarter of Wednesday's game.

Carrington approached officials to report the fan's conduct, leading to the fan being escorted away by security. However, the fan was later permitted to return to their seat. A Valkyries official confirmed to ClutchPoints that the fan was cooperative and that the complaint was "unfounded."

The Chicago Sky provided a statement indicating the fan received a warning but offered no further comment. Game commentators observed the interaction, with one noting the seriousness with which player respect is being taken around the league.

Following the incident, play resumed, and the fan was seen back in their original seat. Carrington finished the game with three points and three rebounds in 24 minutes as the Sky lost 91-71.

This situation arises shortly after Carrington was ejected for a hard foul on Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham. After her ejection, Carrington posted on Threads, referencing "WHITE PRIVILEGE @indianafever." She later clarified that she did not claim the assessment of the foul was related to white privilege and would not use the term without substantiation.
