Wales attacking midfielder Harry Wilson made his debut for Leeds United in the club's opening pre-season fixture, a 3-2 defeat to Wrexham. The match took place at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.

Wrexham took an early lead in the first minute through Kieffer Moore. Leeds had an opportunity to equalize when Joel Piroe was awarded a penalty after Dan James was fouled by Wrexham goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo, but Piroe missed the spot-kick.

Piroe later found the net, leveling the score with a backheel following a pass from Sean Longstaff. However, Wrexham regained the lead when Bailey Cadamarteri scored. Leeds equalized again when Longstaff found the back of the net with a right-footed shot.

Sam Smith scored late in the second half for Wrexham, securing their victory. Wilson, who joined Leeds on a free transfer from Fulham in the summer, was introduced by manager Daniel Farke during the second half. He had a late chance to score for Leeds, but his shot went over the crossbar.

Smith had also scored in Wrexham's previous pre-season friendly, a victory against Manchester United.
