Wigan Warriors continued their winning streak, defeating St Helens 44-6 in the inaugural match of the Super Four format in the Betfred Women's Super League. This victory marks Wigan's fifth consecutive win against St Helens within the past year, reinforcing their position as the team to beat in the league.

The defending champions showcased a strong offensive performance, scoring nine tries. Ellise Derbyshire and Eva Hunter each contributed two tries, while Anna Davies, Molly Jones, Remi Wilton, Jenna Foubister, and Mary Coleman also crossed the try line. For St Helens, only Luci McColm managed a try, which came just before halftime.

Wigan established an early lead when Derbyshire capitalized on a spilled ball from St Helens' fullback Liv Leach. Woman of Steel Eva Hunter followed with a powerful individual try from beyond her own half. Davies extended Wigan's advantage with a try in the corner, set up by a kick from Izzy Rowe. While Wigan's conversion rate was not perfect, their scoring continued with second tries from Derbyshire and Hunter.

Despite a late first-half try from McColm for St Helens, Wigan quickly reasserted their dominance in the second half. Jones scored on her return from a knee injury, and the team added further tries in the final quarter through Wilton, Foubister, and Coleman. Wigan's performance suggests they have maintained their high level of play from their previous matches.
