The Golden State Warriors have signed free agent forward Georges Niang to a one-year contract valued at $3.9 million, the team announced Tuesday. This move fills one of the remaining spots on the Warriors' roster.

Niang, 33, brings 11 seasons of NBA experience to Golden State and will be joining his sixth team. He is known for his ability to shoot from beyond the arc, holding a career 3-point percentage of 40%. His stretch-four capabilities are expected to provide floor spacing and add a gritty presence to the team.

This signing marks the second move by the Warriors in a single day, following a period of quiet activity in the offseason. The team had targeted both Niang and Brandon Williams, who was also signed Tuesday, to fill their open regular-season roster positions over the past month.

Niang has previous ties to the Warriors organization, having played for their G-League affiliate during the 2017-18 season. His previous NBA teams include the Indiana Pacers, Utah Jazz, Philadelphia 76ers, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Atlanta Hawks. Niang missed the entire 2025-26 season due to injury.
