The United States Men's National Team (USMNT) is set to compete in the World Cup 2026 knockout stage after clinching the top spot in their group. The team will shift its focus to the Round of 32 following a 3-2 loss against Turkey in their final group-stage match on Thursday night in Los Angeles.

Despite the setback, the U.S. secured their position as group winners, having already clinched their spot in the next round before the match against Turkey, who were eliminated after their second game. The final group stage game saw goals from Auston Trusty and Sebastian Berhalter for the U.S. Christian Pulisic also played nearly 40 minutes in his return from a calf injury.

The USMNT will now prepare for their upcoming match against Bosnia and Herzegovina. This marks the team's first appearance in the knockout stage since 2002, and they are considered comfortable favorites to win their first knockout game.
