Ty Gibbs will honor the late Kyle Busch with a special M&M's paint scheme on his No. 54 Toyota during the upcoming Bass Pro Shops Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway on September 19. Bristol was a track where Kyle Busch achieved significant success, including his final win as a Joe Gibbs Racing driver in 2022.
Kyle Busch secured 22 wins across three series at Bristol, a track he particularly favored for racing under the lights. Samantha Busch, Kyle Busch's widow, announced the tribute paint scheme on Instagram, describing it as a way to bring back the iconic M&M's colors "one last time" at a track he loved. She noted that racing at Bristol without him will be "heartbreaking" but expressed gratitude for the opportunity to honor his memory.
"He should be there. But I’m so grateful to be able to tell you that those iconic M&M’s colors will be coming back to Bristol one last time, on the 54 car," Samantha Busch posted. "It’s a chance to honor him at a place he loved so much, surrounded by our NASCAR family and the fans who loved him, too."
She added that she believes Kyle Busch would want them to continue showing up, racing, and carrying his legacy forward. Ty Gibbs, grandson of team owner Joe Gibbs, is currently second in the Cup standings for 2026. He moved to a full-time Cup series position in 2023 following Busch's departure from Joe Gibbs Racing. Gibbs has achieved two wins in the 2026 season so far, along with 10 top-five and 15 top-10 finishes.
