Nottingham Forest has submitted an improved offer of £17.5 million for Feyenoord's highly-rated defender Givairo Read. The 20-year-old right-back has also been a target for Manchester City.
Forest is also reportedly working on a £35 million deal for Sporting Lisbon center-back Ousmane Diomande and is considering a move for Everton striker Beto. Additionally, the club is expected to place a new £45 million bid for Tottenham's Lucas Bergvall.
In other news, Arsenal has made initial inquiries regarding the availability of Real Madrid winger Vini Jr. The 26-year-old Brazilian has the same representatives as RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande, who is also on Arsenal's radar. While a move for Vini Jr. would be a significant acquisition, official talks have not yet commenced.
West Ham United has rejected an inquiry from Brentford for left wing-back El Hadji Malick Diouf. Despite the 20-year-old's inconsistent first season, the club maintains he is not for sale, especially after recent departures.
Celtic is nearing a club-record £11 million deal for Bodo/Glimt striker Kasper Hogh. The Denmark international is expected to undergo a medical and agree to a four-year contract with an option for an additional year. Hogh was previously a target for Norwich City in January.
Hull City is also expected to finalize the signing of Olympiacos goalkeeper Konstantin Tzolakis after his medical. The 23-year-old Greek international had one year remaining on his contract and attracted considerable interest.
Crystal Palace is currently evaluating whether to proceed with a move for Brest defender Raphael Le Guen. While personal terms are not expected to be an issue, the transfer remains uncertain. Le Guen, 19, broke into the Brest first team late last season but made limited appearances. Palace is also assessing other defensive options as Maxence Lacroix is likely to join Chelsea.
The summer transfer window remains open until September 1, promising further activity as clubs aim to strengthen their squads for the upcoming season.
