The US Open women's singles semifinals will feature a historic matchup for the first time since 1975, with the top four seeds vying for a place in the final. The evening's matches at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Flushing, New York, will pit Aryna Sabalenka against Jessica Pegula, followed by Elena Rybakina facing Coco Gauff.

Sabalenka, aiming for her third consecutive US Open title, will face the third-ranked Pegula in the first semifinal. This is a rematch of last year's semifinal, which Sabalenka won. While Sabalenka holds a 9-4 advantage in their career meetings, Pegula won their most recent encounter in the semifinals of the 2026 Berlin Open. Pegula is seeking her first Grand Slam title.

The second semifinal features Elena Rybakina, who is set to become the world No. 1 on September 14, against the 2023 US Open champion Coco Gauff. This matchup has a less extensive history, with two previous meetings. Rybakina most recently came from a set down to defeat Gauff in the semifinals of the Canadian Open in August 2026.

The women's semifinals are scheduled for September 10, beginning at 7 p.m. ET. The first semifinal between Sabalenka and Pegula will be followed by the match between Rybakina and Gauff, scheduled to begin no earlier than 8:10 p.m. ET.
