Major League Wrestling (MLW) star Shotzi Blackheart has expressed a significant desire for a one-on-one match against Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) World Women's Champion Persephone. This aspiration follows a brief encounter between the two wrestlers during a fatal four-way match held during Mania week.

"I want a one-on-one against her so badly," Blackheart told Fox News Digital. "She is so strong. so fierce. She's intense. She is just so intense. I got like a little taste of her, but I need a one-on-one."

Blackheart, who currently holds the MLW Women's World Championship, recently defended her title against Kira of CMLL on an episode of "Fusion." MLW's international alliances have opened doors for various cross-promotional matches, and Blackheart sees potential for further contests with wrestlers from promotions like Japan's Stardom.

Persephone claimed the CMLL World Women's Championship in March, dethroning Mercedes Moné. She has also made appearances on All Elite Wrestling (AEW) programming, as AEW also holds a partnership with CMLL.

While Blackheart anticipates a future opportunity against Persephone, her immediate focus is on upcoming MLW events. She is scheduled to support Mads Krule Krugger and The Good Brothers against the MLW Tag Team Champions, Skyscrapers, which includes Donovan Dijak and Josh Bishop.
