Rookie inside linebacker Arvell Reese has continued to showcase his potential during New York Giants training camp, making a notable play during a recent practice.

During a 7-on-7 red zone period, Reese intercepted a pass thrown by quarterback Jaxson Dart. The play occurred when Reese anticipated Dart's read, tipping the ball to himself for the interception. This demonstration of football intelligence marks another positive moment in Reese's first training camp, as he aims to solidify his position on the team. Reese has been observed as a standout performer throughout camp.

In contrast to Reese's success, the Giants' first-team offense experienced a challenging practice. Offensive coordinator Matt Nagy commented that the team's effort was "not good enough." Dart faced pressure, including the interception and several sacks. Another pass from Dart was deflected by Jason Pinnock, though it was ultimately caught by tight end Chris Manhertz.

Elsewhere on offense, second-year tight end Thomas Fidone II made a significant play, securing a 30-yard diving one-handed catch from Jameis Winston. Fidone, a seventh-round selection in the 2025 NFL Draft out of Nebraska, also scored a touchdown later in the session.

In injury news, outside linebacker Abdul Carter returned to practice after dealing with a hand issue. However, several players did not participate, including cornerback Paulson Adebo (undisclosed), centers John Michael Schmitz (concussion) and Lucas Patrick (knee), and wide receivers Jalin Hyatt (leg/ankle) and Juju Smith-Schuster (knee).
