Rebecca Allen returned to the New York Liberty this season with aspirations of being a key role player on a championship-contending team. However, her season has been significantly challenged, testing her typically positive and adaptable outlook.
Allen experienced a slow ramp-up to the season, which included missing the season opener. Following this, she struggled to secure consistent minutes on the court, appearing in only 10 of the team's first 25 games, with several instances of being a healthy scratch. In the games she did play, Allen averaged 1.5 points and 1.2 rebounds, shooting a mere 13.6 percent from the field on 22 attempts. Her assist-to-turnover ratio was also a concern, with six assists to six turnovers. Madelaine Kenney
