The Baltimore Ravens are acquiring quarterback Jacoby Brissett from the Arizona Cardinals, according to ESPN, to address injuries at the position. Superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson and backup Tyler Huntley both sustained injuries in the Ravens' recent loss to the Buffalo Bills.
Baltimore is scheduled to play the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday night, and undrafted rookie Joe Fagnano is expected to start. Fagnano, who also dealt with an ankle injury, completed 10 of 21 passes for 91 yards and an interception in relief of Jackson and Huntley during the loss to the Bills.
Brissett is anticipated to make his Ravens debut in Week 10 against the Los Angeles Chargers. He previously started eight games for the Cardinals this season, leading them to a 2-5 record. In those starts, Brissett completed 63.3% of his passes for 1,719 yards, with 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
With their loss to the Bills, the Ravens fell to 4-4 and are currently last in the AFC North. Jackson's thumb injury may require season-ending surgery, while Huntley is dealing with a turf toe injury. The Ravens are set to face the Jaguars on Thursday night as significant underdogs with Fagnano at quarterback.
