Las Vegas Raiders rookie running back Mike Washington is generating buzz around the team and among fans for a distinctive physical trait: the extraordinary length of his arms. While the 6-foot-2, 228-pound player is nearing his NFL regular-season debut, his arm length has become a notable topic of conversation.
During NFL scouting combine measurements, Washington's arms were recorded at 33.6 inches, which is considered average for an NFL running back. However, visual observations at practice have highlighted how his arms appear to extend unusually low on his frame, with some noting they nearly reach the top of his kneecaps.
Washington is a year removed from a successful collegiate career at Arkansas, where he was a top-five rusher in the SEC, accumulating 1,070 yards with an average of 6.4 yards per carry. The Raiders selected him in the fourth round of the 2026 NFL Draft.
He has made a strong impression during the preseason, receiving significant playing time with both the first and second teams. Washington rushed for 168 yards on 23 carries, averaging 7.3 yards per carry. His longest preseason run was a 53-yard gain against the Cardinals. Washington currently holds the second-string running back position on the team's depth chart behind Ashton Jeanty, who is recovering from a sprained ankle.
