Wrestler Andy “The Butcher” Williams, 48, died Friday night after sustaining an injury during a match in Millvale, Pennsylvania. Emergency dispatch audio obtained by TMZ suggests Williams struck his head on a ring post during a tag team match at Mr. Small’s Theatre.

Emergency operators were heard stating that a "male wrestler was injured during a match – hit his head on a ringpost." Further calls indicated a need for "lifting assistance" at the venue, with police and EMS already on the scene. Doctors entered the ring when Williams began to show signs of distress. He received CPR before being transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Williams died following a medical crisis, but a preliminary cause of death has not been released.

Love Wrestling, the organization that staged the event, expressed its sadness over the death. Williams was a prominent figure in professional wrestling, known for his nearly seven-year tenure with All Elite Wrestling. He was also recognized for his role as the rhythm guitarist for the metalcore band Every Time I Die.
