PGA Tour star Si Woo Kim has humorously suggested that his losses in practice rounds against fellow golfer Scottie Scheffler are helping to cover Scheffler's expenses for his newborn son, specifically mentioning diapers.
"I can’t say how much I lost, but I think I’m paying for his second son, all the diapers!" Kim said during a pre-tournament press conference ahead of the Tour Championship, according to Golfweek. Kim was referring to Remy Scheffler, Scottie Scheffler's second son, who was born in March.
Kim, who also has a child, made the remark in jest, acknowledging the significant costs associated with raising young children, particularly the ongoing expense of diapers. Scheffler, who lives in Dallas, Texas, is a regular at the Royal Oaks Country Club, where he is reportedly the only PGA Tour star, though Si Woo Kim has recently joined as well.
In unrelated news, Scheffler recently revealed he was battling hand, foot, and mouth disease during the BMW Championship. The disease is commonly contracted from children, leading to speculation about its potential source given Scheffler's young family.
