The Green Bay Packers have rewarded tight end Tucker Kraft with a significant contract extension, agreeing to terms on a four-year deal worth up to $92 million. The extension solidifies Kraft as one of the highest-paid tight ends in the National Football League, with an average annual salary of $18.75 million.
Kraft, 25, is entering his fourth season after being selected by the Packers in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft. He suffered a torn ACL in his right knee on November 2, 2025, during a Week 9 game against the Carolina Panthers, an injury that ended his season prematurely. He missed the second half of the 2025 season but is expected to be fully recovered for the start of the 2026 NFL season.
Prior to his injury, Kraft had established himself as a key starter for the Packers. In eight appearances during the 2025 season, he recorded 32 receptions for 489 yards and six touchdowns. He is anticipated to be available for the season opener against the Minnesota Vikings, though he indicated in mid-August that he expects to be on a snap count early in the campaign as he works back to full strength.
"They’re going to take into account my rep range probably until halfway through the season," Kraft told reporters. "And then they’re going to just pat me on the ass and send me out there and send me to the wolves. How this offense is, I’m gonna get as comfortable as I can playing those reps in those games that I was playing previously, those games when I was 50-60 reps, 85 reps against the Cowboys in overtime. It’s just the more you can do, all the hats I can wear on the offense, I want to bring everything to the table."
According to Over the Cap, Kraft's new deal places him just behind San Francisco's George Kittle and Arizona's Trey McBride in terms of average annual salary at the tight end position. He is set to receive $31.5 million in the first year of the contract. The Packers have also recently extended contracts for receivers Jayden Reed and Christian Watson, securing key offensive playmakers around quarterback Jordan Love.
