Following their decisive State of Origin series victory, members of the New South Wales Blues team and their coach were observed returning to their hotel laden with a significant quantity of alcoholic beverages, signaling the commencement of their celebrations.

Video footage shared by a fan captured the team's arrival at the hotel, where they were met with an enthusiastic reception and proceeded to carry numerous cases of beer and spirits into the building. Players and staff were seen holding drinks as they entered, with some appearing to have already begun their festivities. The assortment of alcohol included two cases of Tooheys stubbies, two 30-can slabs of Tooheys, two slabs of Jim Beam, and one case of 196.

Among the celebratory supplies was the State of Origin shield, carried in by the team. Player Hudson Young was also seen interacting with fans outside the hotel, offering high-fives.

The team secured their series win with a commanding performance at Suncorp Stadium, a venue that has historically been challenging for them. A crucial try by Bradman Best late in the match solidified their victory.

Coach Laurie Daley, who had abstained from alcohol for 15 weeks during the series, joined the celebrations. Daley, a regular on Sky Sports Radio's Big Sports Breakfast, appeared on the show in Brisbane early Thursday morning, having reportedly celebrated with the team until dawn. He had previously expressed his anticipation for enjoying alcoholic beverages after the conclusion of the series, especially following the team's unexpected triumph.
