Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley, known collectively as the Motor City Machine Guns, have made their All Elite Wrestling (AEW) debut on "Collision," appearing in their hometown of Detroit. The veteran tag team expressed their intention to compete where the best wrestlers are. Their arrival strengthens AEW's tag team division.

The Motor City Machine Guns appeared following an eight-man tag team match that saw Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn, Ace Austin and Juice Robinson, collectively known as the Bang Bang Gang, defeat Jon Moxley, Pac, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta. After the match, the Bang Bang Gang were attacked by Clark Connors and David Finlay, prompting Sabin and Shelley to intervene. The two then embraced the Bang Bang Gang in the ring.

Sabin and Shelley are a highly decorated tag team, having previously held titles in WWE, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), Ring of Honor, and New Japan Pro-Wrestling. They recently concluded a nearly two-year run with WWE in April.

"Did you really think we wouldn’t be here? There’s no place we’d rather be in than the greatest city in civilization," Sabin stated, referring to Detroit. "The place we represented for 20 years. Because this is where the best wrestle."
