Michigan State offensive lineman Robert Wright Jr. vomited mid-snap during the fourth quarter of the Spartans' 30-20 victory over Toledo on Friday night. Wright, a redshirt junior making his debut for Michigan State after transferring from Georgia Southern, continued to block a Toledo defensive player immediately after the incident.

Quarterback Alessio Milivojevic completed a two-point conversion pass to Rodney Bullard Jr. for a touchdown following Wright's play, extending the Spartans' lead. Milivojevic finished the game with 247 passing yards and one touchdown on 26-of-34 completions, while Bullard had seven receptions for 90 yards.

Wright transferred to Michigan State after spending his previous seasons at Georgia Southern, where he started 11 games at right tackle in the 2025 season. He enrolled at Michigan State in January 2026. He had sustained a broken arm in 2023, which led to a redshirt year and no game appearances in the following season.

Michigan State, which finished the 2025 season with a 4-8 record, is seeking to improve its performance. The team has not made a bowl game appearance since the Peach Bowl in 2021. The Spartans are scheduled to host Eastern Michigan next week before facing No. 4 Notre Dame.

Another notable moment from the game occurred when the pants of Michigan State running back Cam Edwards fell down after he was tackled.
