Football legends Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo could share a pitch as teammates for the first time in their careers at a testimonial match planned for December, according to former teammate Carlos Tevez. Tevez, who played with both stars during his own career, is organizing a farewell game to honor his achievements with clubs like Manchester United, Juventus, and Boca Juniors.

Tevez has secured the La Bombonera Stadium in Buenos Aires for the event, with Boca Juniors' Juan Roman Riquelme granting his request. The Argentine expressed his determination to have both Messi and Ronaldo participate, stating, "Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo will be there. I'll go pick them myself if I have to. I have both of them on WhatsApp."

Messi, who currently plays for Inter Miami in the United States, previously represented Argentina alongside Tevez from 2005 to 2015. Ronaldo and Tevez were a formidable attacking partnership at Manchester United between 2007 and 2009, winning multiple Premier League titles, a Champions League, and other honors alongside Wayne Rooney.

The potential appearance of Messi and Ronaldo on the same team would mark a significant moment for fans, given their long-standing rivalry. The two players have frequently competed against each other, notably during their time with Barcelona and Real Madrid, and have dominated the Ballon d'Or awards for a decade between 2008 and 2017. Ronaldo now plays for Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia, making a club reunion unlikely before their retirements.

Other notable players Tevez is reportedly inviting to his testimonial include Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand, Andrea Pirlo, and Gianluigi Buffon, many of whom have shared the pitch with Tevez or the star duo during their illustrious careers.
