Manchester United has finalized a new training kit sponsorship agreement with Betway, a deal estimated to be worth approximately £20 million annually. This partnership makes it the largest standalone training kit or playing shirt sleeve deal in world football.

The club had been without a sponsor for its men's and women's training gear since the previous agreement with Tezos concluded in June 2025. This new deal with Betway, a prominent online sports betting and gaming brand, also establishes the company as the club's official principal partner and exclusive global betting partner.

While the Premier League has banned front-of-shirt gambling sponsorships starting this season, these are still permitted on training kits. Club officials indicated that the revenue generated from this sponsorship will support investment in the team and the pursuit of major trophies.

Betway's branding will be visible on both the men's and women's training kits, as well as prominently displayed on matchdays at Old Trafford and the Progress with Unity Stadium.

Marc Armstrong, Manchester United's chief business officer, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting its scale as a reflection of the club's growth strategy and global appeal. He noted that Betway is a globally recognized brand with a significant presence in various sports, and the club anticipates collaborating to enhance Betway's international reach and create new fan engagement opportunities.

This agreement represents Betway's most substantial commercial investment to date, spanning a portfolio that includes top-tier football, Formula 1, international rugby union, cricket, basketball, and tennis. Neal Menashe, CEO of Super Group, stated that Manchester United's extensive global reach, particularly its substantial fanbase in Africa, aligns well with Betway's key markets. He also emphasized the Premier League's position as the most-watched domestic football competition globally, offering a powerful platform for fan connection.

The deal, first reported by Daily Mail Sport in May, signifies a major commercial move for the club as they prepare for their return to the Champions League.
