Lindsey Vonn, the decorated Olympic skier, experienced a near wardrobe malfunction during a red carpet appearance on Thursday. Vonn was attending a gala hosted by the Kering Foundation when a strap on her flowing red gown, which featured a cape, slipped as she adjusted the garment for photographers.

Vonn managed to quickly pull the strap back into place before any exposure occurred, making what she described as a split-second save, similar to those in her skiing career. She was pictured in the gown, which she accessorized with a black clutch, white heeled sandals, and gold jewelry. Her blonde hair was styled in waves over her right shoulder.

The appearance comes as Vonn continues to recover from a significant injury sustained at the 2026 Winter Olympics. In August, she revealed to TNT Sports that she suffered a compound complex tibia fracture during a crash in Cortina d'Ampezzo. Vonn indicated that she still has another surgery to undergo as part of her recovery process.

Speaking to People Magazine about her summer, Vonn stated it involved "a lot of rehab" and "a lot of recovery." She shared that she is making progress, noting that she was recently able to play tennis, which she described as a "really big day."
