Seattle Seahawks defensive end Leonard Williams has agreed to a three-year contract extension worth $90 million, according to reports. The deal solidifies his position with the Super Bowl champion team after a strong performance since his acquisition.
Williams, 32, was a second-team All-Pro selection last year with the Seahawks and is a three-time Pro Bowler. He was drafted by the New York Jets with the sixth overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft and has played 11 seasons in the league.
The Seahawks acquired Williams from the New York Giants in October 2023. The trade sent a 2024 second-round draft pick and a 2025 fifth-round draft pick to the Giants. New York used those picks to select safety Tyler Nubin and offensive lineman Marcus Mbow. Prior to joining the Seahawks, Williams was traded from the Jets to the Giants in 2019 in exchange for third- and fifth-round picks.
Williams joined the Seahawks in the midst of their Super Bowl-winning season. He has been a key contributor to the team's defense since arriving.
