NBA champion Landry Shamet has announced his engagement to his longtime girlfriend, Cameron Aimonetti. The couple shared the news via joint Instagram posts on Tuesday, revealing the proposal took place during a boat trip on Lake Como, Italy.

The Instagram announcement included a series of photos capturing the couple enjoying wine, swimming, and intimate moments on the boat. One image appeared to show Shamet glancing at Aimonetti's hand as she wore a diamond ring while he drove the boat.

Rumors of the engagement had circulated after photos of the couple in Italy showed a diamond ring on Aimonetti's left ring finger. The couple has been together since at least September 2024, with their first public appearance together dating back to July 2019 at the ESPYs.

Several of Shamet's Knicks teammates and their partners offered congratulations in the Instagram comments. Aimonetti also posted a tribute to Shamet following his significant role in the Knicks' championship win, their first since 1973. She praised his "mental strength and discipline" in reaching the accomplishment.

Shamet recently signed a four-year, $24 million contract with the Knicks, ensuring his return for the upcoming season to defend their title. He was a key player during the Eastern Conference finals, notably shooting 11-of-12 from three-point range against the Cavaliers and making a game-tying three-pointer in Game 1 of that series.
