Spain's young star Lamine Yamal arrived for the team's World Cup Round of 32 match against Austria in Los Angeles, drawing attention with a new, elaborate custom chain. The 18-year-old forward, a key player for the Spanish squad, showcased the eye-catching piece as he entered the SoFi Stadium.
The necklace features a large Batman pendant, described by its creators, 'The AJ Jewels,' as inspired by Gotham City and designed to embody "strength, mystery, and timeless heroism." The bespoke item is reportedly crafted with natural diamonds and 18-karat gold.
This is not the first time Yamal has made a fashion statement with custom jewelry. In a previous match against Saudi Arabia, he wore a unique chain paying homage to his neighborhood, Rocafonda. For his 18th birthday, Yamal received a diamond-encrusted gold chain with his initials, valued at over £300,000, gifted by Dominican rapper El Alfa.
In addition to the new chain, Yamal's pre-game attire for the Austria match included a Chrome Hearts horseshoe cap and Bonennoissuer II glasses. He also wore Spain's EQT tracksuit.
Despite his notable fashion sense, Yamal's focus remains on the tournament. He has expressed his awareness of upsets in the World Cup, citing the matches involving Germany and the Netherlands. Yamal also shared his admiration for fellow players, including Vini, Lionel Messi, and Saibari, noting their performances in the competition.
Yamal and the Spanish team are competing in the knockout stages of the World Cup, with their next match against Austria.
