Los Angeles Lakers rookie Cameron Carr has been taken off the team's injury report, signaling his potential return to play in the team's upcoming game against the Toronto Raptors on Sunday. Carr has missed the Lakers' first six games of the season due to a strained right oblique.
The Lakers acquired Carr, a 21-year-old shooting guard, from the New York Knicks. The Knicks selected him with the 24th overall pick in the 2026 NBA draft.
Carr's return could provide a boost to the Lakers' bench, which was outscored significantly by the Golden State Warriors' reserves in their recent 112-95 loss on Friday. In his exhibition debut on Oct. 5, Carr impressed by scoring 19 points in a win against the Sacramento Kings.
Last season at Baylor, Carr averaged a team-high 18.9 points, along with 5.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists. He shot 49.4% from the field.
Other Lakers players on the injury report include Ziaire Williams, who is questionable for Sunday's game with a left foot injury, and Adou Thiero, who remains out with a left knee injury management.
The Lakers currently hold a 4-2 record and are set to play back-to-back games against the Raptors on Sunday and the Miami Heat on Monday.
