Brooks Koepka has described his return to the PGA Tour as "pathetic" after failing to qualify for the FedEx Cup playoffs. The former world number one revealed he has "zero confidence" and "can't putt," indicating a need to "completely reevaluate everything."

Koepka, who joined the Saudi-backed LIV Golf in 2022 on a deal reportedly worth over $100 million, rejoined the PGA Tour in January. However, his comeback has not met expectations. Following a final-round 70 at the Wyndham Championship, Koepka is projected to finish 94th in the FedEx Cup standings. The playoffs include only the top 70 players.

"I'm pretty disappointed," Koepka said, according to ESPN. "I think it's pretty pathetic that I can't get through. Zero top-10s basically in two years. To be in the prime of your career and be as good as I think I am, I think that's very pathetic, disappointing. Just need to go home and completely reevaluate everything."

Over 15 starts this season, Koepka missed five cuts and achieved only one top-10 finish at the Cognizant Classic. He cited putting as a significant issue, stating, "It's just all on the greens. I don't know what the deal is. [I've] got zero confidence [and] can't putt. I don't know. There's going to be a lot of changes here soon."

Despite his on-course struggles, the 36-year-old golfer expressed happiness with his return to the PGA Tour. "I've loved it. I feel fantastic. The reception has been great. Overall, happiness is 10 out of 10 and just excited," he added.

Meanwhile, LIV Golf held its New York event at Donald Trump's Bedminster course. Trump was present at the final round, joined by golfer Gary Player. Earlier this year, Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund announced it would cease bankrolling LIV Golf. LIV CEO Scott O'Neil stated this week that the circuit has secured funding beyond the 2026 season, though details regarding investors and amounts remain undisclosed.
