NBA champion Jalen Brunson, along with teammates Mikal Bridges and Josh Hart, were in attendance at the U.S. Open on Friday, joining a high-profile crowd at Arthur Ashe Stadium for the men's singles semifinal match. Brunson was accompanied by his wife, Ali, and sat alongside prominent Knicks fan Ben Stiller and his wife, actress Christine Taylor.
Josh Hart, who had attended the Open earlier in the week, commented on the Knicks' mindset heading into the upcoming season. "I don’t think we have a big target because I don’t think anyone is picking us to win again,” Hart said. “We’re using it as fuel. We’re still the hunters. We’re not satisfied with one."
The New York Knicks secured their first NBA championship in 53 years in June, defeating the Spurs in five games. This victory marked their first title since 1973.
Since their championship win, Brunson, Bridges, and Hart have remained visible in New York as the team prepares to defend its title in the 2026-27 campaign, which is set to begin next month. Stiller, a long-time supporter of the team, was a frequent presence at Madison Square Garden during the Knicks' playoff run.
The U.S. Open has drawn a variety of celebrities throughout the tournament, with attendees including Michelle Obama, Matthew McConaughey, Woody Harrelson, 2 Chainz, Trinity Rodman, and Ciara.
