Top British tennis player Katie Boulter has married fellow professional Alex de Minaur in a private church ceremony. The couple, who have been together for six years, tied the knot in a "low key" and "intimate family" service on the final day of the Wimbledon tournament.

The ceremony took place in a Leicestershire village near where Boulter, 29, grew up. Locals who were aware of the wedding were reportedly sworn to secrecy. The nuptials occurred as the Wimbledon Men's final was underway, with Jannik Sinner competing against Alexander Zverev.

Boulter, Britain's former number one, arrived at the church with de Minaur, Australia's top-ranked player, in a black Porsche Carrera. Boulter wore a long white gown, and de Minaur sported a black suit with a white shirt and bow tie. They walked into the church together before a small congregation of family members.

A source described the wedding as "deliberately low key" and "personal." Following the service, the newlyweds are expected to hold a larger celebration in Europe with friends and fellow tennis players.

This union unites two prominent figures in international tennis. Boulter has been Britain's number one woman for much of the past five years, currently ranking at number two. De Minaur is Australia's number one player and ranked world number six.

Between them, Boulter and de Minaur have earned over $30 million in career prize money and have won 15 singles titles on the ATP and WTA Tours. They announced their engagement in 2024.

Boulter expressed delight that her grandfather, Brian Boulter, was able to attend the ceremony. He had arrived by taxi with a carer and was assisted into the church. Her grandfather is currently receiving hospital care, and a family insider noted Boulter's close relationship with him, stating she was "delighted to spend some time with him" after the service.

The couple is expected to continue their wedding celebrations with a larger party in Europe, bringing together their British and Australian families, along with friends from the international tennis community.

The ceremony was conducted by a female vicar, who confirmed the marriage but declined further comment, stating it was a private affair.
