John Kruk, a former Phillies star and current NBC "Sunday Night Baseball" analyst, experienced a wardrobe malfunction during a recent broadcast.

Kruk attempted to wear a series of ties, including four clip-on styles, that were sent to him by a friend. The situation led to humorous exchanges with his colleagues, Joe Girardi and Jason Benetti, during the top of the second inning. "I can’t get this dang button… I got four clip-ons," Kruk stated on air. "When a knucklehead friend sends ’em to you, you better wear ’em. I might not be able to. I can’t get this button buttoned."

Girardi called the unfolding situation "pure entertainment," while Benetti described it as a "battle." At one point, Girardi humorously asked Kruk if facing pitcher Randy Johnson had been easier than putting on the tie. Kruk quipped that facing Johnson was considerably easier.

The broadcast further leaned into the jest by playing a clip of Johnson striking Kruk out during an All-Star Game. Kruk initially wore a tie from broadcaster Tom McCarthy before attempting to switch to others.

He later revealed a beige tie, joking about its vintage 1970s style and its wide "fat" cut. "Look at how fat it is," he commented, adding, "Well, look who’s putting it on, but…"

The game itself saw the Yankees and Phillies combine for 15 runs, with Philadelphia winning 11-4. However, Kruk's tie-changing difficulties added a memorable element of amusement to the broadcast.
