New York Jets coach Aaron Glenn has noted a significant increase in focus and work ethic from right tackle Armand Membou, who is entering his second season. Glenn expressed confidence in Membou's dedication following the team's exit interviews last season, anticipating a more determined performance in 2026.
"I just knew he was going to come back in the offseason program stone-faced and ready to go," Glenn said Monday, referencing the first full-padded practice of training camp. "Coming back from this offseason program, he was on a mission. You could see it in his face. From the weight room to the field, everything was a business approach, and you can see that carrying into every practice. Doesn’t matter if it’s a walk-through or not, he’s operating at a professional level right now."
Membou, 22, stands at 6-foot-4 and weighs 332 pounds. His improved approach is evident throughout the offseason program and into the current training camp, according to Glenn. The coach's positive assessment suggests that Membou is working to build upon his rookie season, which concluded with the Jets finishing with a 3-14 record.
Membou's dedication was apparent from the outset of his offseason training, with Glenn observing a clear determination that has carried through to his on-field performance. This sustained professionalism is a key indicator of Membou's commitment to elevating his game for the upcoming season.
