Jenny Shin has won the Women's Scottish Open at Dundonald, marking her second career LPGA Tour title and her first in over a decade. Shin finished the tournament at nine under par after a final round of three-over-par 75, which included three bogeys on the front nine.

Fellow South Korean A-Lim Kim finished two strokes behind Shin, carding a 68 in the final round. Thailand's Pajaree Anannarukarn secured third place, a further two strokes back.

Shin, who had not won since the Volunteers of America Texas Shootout in 2016, described this victory as feeling more earned than her debut title. "This one definitely feels a lot different. This one feels like I earned it. I worked hard for it," Shin said through tears after her final putt.

The final round presented challenging conditions, with players experiencing a mix of sunshine, wind, and rain. Only 10 players managed to break par over the four rounds. American Nelly Korda, a two-time major champion this year, finished tied for 16th at two over par after a final round of 69. Korda noted the unpredictable weather as a factor, stating, "We experienced everything this week - sunshine, a little bit of warmth, and sideways rain, gusty winds, but that's a given out here."

The next major championship, the Women's Open, is scheduled to begin on Thursday at Royal Lytham and St Annes.
