Jarvis Brownlee Jr. remains perplexed by the Tennessee Titans' decision to trade him to the New York Jets last September, a move that left the cornerback feeling “heartbroken.”

Brownlee, 25, had expected to have a long tenure with the Titans after they selected him in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL draft. The trade came as a shock, leaving him to question the team's reasoning.

"Some days I’d just be at the hotel and go outside at night and just be sitting there and just trying to come up with why they traded me, why they went with what they did," Brownlee told The Post. "Still to this day, I can’t come to a conclusion. I won’t lie and say that I’m not still heartbroken by it, but everything happens for the better. I love where I’m at right now. I love this organization."

Despite the emotional toll of the trade, Brownlee made an immediate impact with the Jets. In his second game with the team, he forced a fumble and brought a new energy to the defense as a nickel cornerback during a period when the unit was perceived to be lacking.
