Jannik Sinner has been absent from the tennis court since winning Wimbledon in July due to a persistent knee injury, an absence that ended his 2026 season prematurely and led to him losing his world No. 1 ranking to Alexander Zverev.
While Sinner's extended break might suggest more time with his girlfriend, Danish model Laila Hasanovic, an Instagram post from Hasanovic has fueled speculation about their relationship. Hasanovic shared photos from a recent trip to Los Angeles with the caption, "should I move here??", indicating she may be considering a permanent relocation to California.
The post has prompted concern from followers regarding the implications for her relationship with Sinner, who resides in Monte Carlo, Monaco, while Hasanovic is based in Copenhagen. Although they are not in the same city, their current locations are on the same continent.
It is possible Hasanovic's comment was made in jest, or simply as a caption for her photos, as she appeared to enjoy her time in California, attending a Halloween party in Los Angeles dressed as a vampire.
Sinner is expected to return to competition in early 2027 at the Indian Wells Open, which takes place in Southern California. If he competes, Hasanovic may potentially accompany him back to the state.
