Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala collapsed during a match for the second time in a four-day period, the club confirmed.
Musiala collapsed six minutes after entering Tuesday's friendly match against Heidenheim, which Bayern won 4-2. He appeared dazed while receiving medical attention and was assisted off the pitch. This incident followed a similar collapse during Bayern's 3-1 friendly victory over RB Leipzig on Saturday.
Bayern's sporting director, Max Eberl, stated that Musiala would address the situation himself in the near future. "Jamal will speak about this in the near future. We knew about it and we are aware of the situation," Eberl said Tuesday. "He's in the dressing room, getting changed and taking a shower."
High temperatures were believed to have contributed to Musiala's collapse on Saturday, with the mercury exceeding 30 degrees Celsius. The 23-year-old had previously missed the first six months of last season due to an ankle fracture sustained at the 2025 Club World Cup. He returned in the latter half of the campaign and featured in three of Germany's four matches at the 2026 World Cup.
