Jackson Warne, son of the late cricket icon Shane Warne, has embarked on a new career path as a roving reporter and interviewer for Sky Sports in the UK. The 27-year-old will spend a month covering The Hundred competition, engaging with prominent figures in the sport from the sidelines.

Warne described the role as an "unexpected career pivot," expressing that he is still adapting but enjoying the experience. "So far so good, learning and improving with each interview but still have lots of work to do," he stated in a recent clip. "It's something different for me... I'm really enjoying it."

His interviewing approach, which balances discussions on the sport's intricacies with broader topics such as personal goals and life off the field, has reportedly been well-received by colleagues, players, and viewers.

The broadcasting opportunity holds particular significance for the Warne family, as Sky Sports previously renamed its commentary box at Lord's Cricket Ground the Shane Warne Commentary Box in June 2022, following the Australian cricketer's death.

Beyond his television work, Warne is also preparing to relaunch his podcast, "Warnes Way," in September. The podcast, initially launched last year, aims to document his personal growth and feature individuals who played key roles in his father's life. Notable guests have included Ed Sheeran, Andy Lee, Eddie McGuire, Merv Hughes, and Jackson's mother, Simone Callahan.

Prior to this broadcasting role, Warne also spent several months participating in poker tournaments overseas. This career development coincides with a significant period for the Warne family. Jackson's older sister, Brooke, recently announced her engagement to her long-term partner, Alex Heath, during a holiday in the United States. The couple is reportedly planning a destination wedding in Greece, with details intended to honor their late father. The proposal occurred on July 11 in Bozeman, Montana. The new gig marks an unexpected career move for Jackson, who admitted he is still finding his feet but is loving every minute of the experience
